PORT WILLUNGA BEACH

Public BBQ

Port Willunga Beach stretches along the South Australian coastline with soft golden sand and weathered jetty pylons rising from clear water. Limestone cliffs frame the beach, hiding small caves, while a walkway winds down from the clifftop restaurant. Historic fishing ruins dot the area, lending character to this uncommercialised escape from Adelaide's busier stretches. The beach welcomes dogs, particularly during morning and evening hours when the light turns spectacular. Early risers find yoga sessions near the jetty pylons, while sunset watchers claim the evening shift. Barbecue facilities provide practical amenities. Worth noting: periodic algae blooms can affect swimming conditions, so checking current water quality proves wise.
